Kylian Mbappe won’t be suiting up for Real Madrid this summer. According to multiple reports, Paris Saint-Germain declined the latest offer from the La Liga powerhouse and will keep the French striker on their roster for this season.

Real has made several offers to PSG for Mbappe in recent days, but the French club opted to reject each one even though the 22-year-old star is set to be out of contract next summer. On the last day of the transfer window (Tuesday), Real returned with a final offer of $235 million to which they reportedly didn’t even receive a reply from PSG.

By rejecting Real’s advances, PSG bought themselves more time to convince Mbappe to sign a long-term deal and stay in Paris. However, if they fail, the French international will be able to walk away for free in July. He can already start negotiating with other clubs and commit to a pre-contract in January.

Real Madrid remains the most probable landing spot for Kylian Mbappe. Los Blancos have monitored him for several years now and even planned their transfer strategy around the player, so they probably won’t give up now. On the other hand, Mbappe has been a fan of Real since he was a child and would reportedly only consider a move to Santiago Bernabeu.

Mbappe joined PSG in 2017 in a transfer worth around $210 million from Ligue 1 side Monaco. Since then, he has played 175 games for the club and scored 135 goals. Mbappe also helped PSG win three consecutive league titles.

I am a reality TV junkie. My dream since I was a kid was to be on Big Brother, but until then you can catch me binge-watching episodes each summer.
