After having a pretty inactive summer period, the Italian club Fiorentina is starting to move things up just before the start of the new season. In the last few days, there were rumors about a few different names joining the team and finally, there is a confirmed signing for the club.

The latest reinforcement is coming from their rival club Sassuolo. The Italian club signed the 32-year-old star midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng who reportedly passed the medical and will be joining Fiorentina on a two-year contract.

Earlier this year, Boateng was loaned to Barcelona on an 8.8 million deal which had a clause that allowed the Spanish Club to keep him permanently but they chose not to materialize that option. The midfielder also had a chance to enter the Bundesliga by joining the German club Eintracht Frankfurt but he rejected that opportunity, which led him to Florence.

Boateng is one of the most successful players of our time, having a really stunning career in which he played for many great European clubs including Tottenham, Milan, Schalke 04, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, and several others. His professional career started back in 2004 and he has made 402 club appearances, scoring 61 goals.
