The Phoenix Suns’ superstar Kevin Durant has three Olympic gold medals on his resume, but that won’t stop him from trying to get another one. In a chat with reporters on Tuesday, Durant said that he is “100% committed” to playing with Team USA at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

After a disappointing outing at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, USA Basketball is determined to send its strongest team to the Paris Olympics. Managing director Grant Hill already got NBA MVP Joel Embiid and Boston Celtics’ All-Star Jrue Holiday to commit, with more star players expected to follow their lead.

Hill has yet to reach out to Durant, but it seems that there is no doubt he’ll get a positive response.

“It’s on whoever is making the calls,” Durant told Yahoo Sports when asked about playing at the 2024 Olympics. “They put the team together, they make the calls, but yeah, I’m committed to playing this summer. If they would have me on the team.”

Kevin Durant has been part of the Team USA at the past three Olympics and returned with a gold medal each time. He owns several records for Team USA at the Olympics, including points scored (435), points average (19.8), and field goals made (146).
