Former Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator Kellen Moore is set to be announced as the Philadelphia Eagles’ new offensive coordinator, ESPN reported. He will replace Brian Johnson, who was fired last week. This is the latest new hire of head coach Nick Sirianni, following Vic Fangio’s appointment as defensive coordinator.

Moore served as the Chargers’ offensive coordinator for a single season, before which he was at the Dallas Cowboys from 2019 to 2022. During this span, his offense ranked within the top four in points per game (27.7), yards per game (391), and third-down conversion percentage (44%).

While the Eagles got this season off to a fiery start with 10 wins in their first 11 games, the team slumped to an 11-6 record and suffered a 32-9 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wild-card round. They will hope that Moore will be able to breathe new life into a fading offense in pursuit of Super Bowl glory next season.
