Jimmy Butler “Glad” Timberwolves lost to Orlando Magic

Minnesota Timberwolves suffered a surprising 102-108 defeat on Tuesday to Orlando Magic, who are one of the league’s weakest teams. Despite the defeat, Timberwolves star, Jimmy Butler, said he is “glad” that they have lost and that the players need to “humble” themselves.

We need to humble our selves,” – said Butler after the game. “I’m glad we lost. Came in here on our high horse, thinking we’re a really good team, and we haven’t done anything yet. Good for us, man.

The Timberwolves won 12 out of their last 15 games, enough for a 29-17 record and the fourth spot in the Western Conference. Orlando Magic, on the other hand, have 13-31 record and are one game ahead of Atlanta Hawks who find themselves at the last position in the Eastern Conference.

They played better than us,” – Butler commented the Magic. “They played harder than we did. They did everything right. We didn’t play the way we were supposed to and they whipped our butts. I’m happy.

I think we were comfortable,” – he added. “We didn’t do what we were supposed to. We didn’t play hard. We didn’t rebound. We didn’t guard. We didn’t execute. We didn’t do anything. We were going through the motions out there. Do that in this league and you can get beat by anybody.

Jimmy Butler, who had 28 points and added seven rebounds and four assists, was the team’s best player in the loss against the Magic. Still, he couldn’t have done much against Magic’s Evan Fournier, who dropped 32 points.

Surprisingly, Minnesota Timberwolves are playing better against the Western Conference teams this season. In those matchups, they are 23-6 while against the Eastern Conference teams they have a losing 6-11 record. They are set to have two difficult games in the upcoming days, traveling to Houston to face the Rockets and then welcoming the Toronto Raptors.
