Forward Jamal Crawford decided to put an end to his NBA career. Crawford, who was the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year three times, announced his decision via social media.

Crawford sent out his retirement tweet on Monday, saying goodbye to “the game, all the spoils the adrenaline rush.”

“Thank you, basketball, I owe you everything …” he added.

Crawford, who recently turned 42, was out of the league for a couple of years now. He had his last game with the Brooklyn Nets in 2019-20, while his most recent full season came with the Phoenix Suns in 2018-19.

Throughout his NBA career, which started in 2000, Crawford played for nine different teams. He had his best performances with the New York Knicks, where he averaged career numbers between 2004 and 2008. This included 20.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 5.0 assists campaign in 2007-08.

After leaving New York, Crawford transitioned to the sixth-man role that saw him become one of the best bench players of all time. He is only the third player in the history of the NBA to score 10,000+ off the bench while ranking first in minutes played (22,611).

Crawford averaged 14.6 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game during his 20 years in the league. He retires while holding the record for most career four-point plays in the NBA history with 55.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
