Jacksonville Jaguars don’t seem to be in a hurry to trade Yannick Ngakoue, despite the fact that the start defensive end publicly expressed his desire to leave the franchise.

NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero recently reported that Jags received multiple trade offers for Ngakoue in recent days and turned them all down.

According to Pelissero, one team was even prepared to include a Pro Bowler in the offer, but Jacksonville believed the player isn’t a good fit for their system and decided to pass.

Yannick Ngakoue was a key man in Jacksonville’s defense in the previous years, racking up 37.5 sacks during his four seasons with the team. However, the Jags weren’t willing to pay the money he was looking for during extension talks in 2019, causing the 25-year-old player to become frustrated with the franchise.

In early March, Ngakoue decided to stop the negotiations and said via social media that he doesn’t want to play for the organization anymore. Jacksonville placed a franchise tag on him regardless, keeping him under contract for at least one more year.

Ngakoue didn’t change his mind since then, and Jaguars recently started taking trade calls for the Pro Bowler. Still, they are reportedly asking a premium compensation, which is something other teams have not been willing to offer just yet.
