After eight years with the Boston Red Sox, it appears that outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. decided to move on. According to multiple reports, Bradley has accepted a contract offer from the Milwaukee Brewers.

Boston Globe’s Julian Mack reported on Thursday that Bradley will sign a two-year, $24 million deal with the Brewers. The agreement has a player opt-out option after the 2021 MLB season.

The move will become official after the 30-year-old player undergoes his physical.

Although Bradley has had a nice run with the Red Sox, which included a World Series win in 2018, it was expected that the two sides part ways this offseason. Boston is currently in the rebuilding stage and couldn’t afford to compete with Bradley’s suitors.

Bradley was linked with several teams in the past couple of months and was close to joining the New York Mets at one moment. After that possibility vanished, the Brewers swooped in and quickly got the veteran to come on board.

While Milwaukee already has a crowded outfield with Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, and Avisail Garcia, the organization has publicly admitted in the past that they are looking to get a fourth outfielder. With Bradley, they get a more than capable option at the position and will have a lot of flexibility in what promises to be another challenging MLB season.

In his eight years in the majors, Bradley posted a .239 batting average with 98 home runs and 376 RBIs. He has an All-Star nod from 2016 and was a Golden Glove Award recipient in 2018.
