Ivica Zubac has signed a three-year contract extension with the Los Angeles Clippers, his agents Mike Lindeman and Jeff Schwartz of Excel confirmed. The $58.6 million extension will tie the center to the Clippers for $70 million through 2028.
Zubac produced a standout performance for the Clippers over the course of last season, averaging a career-high 11.7 points and 9.2 rebounds for the Clippers as they made it to the Western Conference playoffs. During the Clippers’ playoff loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Zubac averaged 16.2 points. ESPN Stats & Information found that Zubac was third in the league for shooting from the field with 65%, behind only Daniel Gafford and Rudy Gobert.
The Clippers center also enjoyed a solid defensive performance, holding offensive opponents to 49.6% shooting from the rim. This saw him ranked number one in the league among players who faced 200 shots or more, data from Second Spectrum showed. Having arrived from the Los Angeles Lakers in 2018, this will be Zubac’s seventh season with the Clippers.
