Italian veteran midfielder and Roma legend Daniele De Rossi has finally decided on where he will continue his soccer career. De Rossi, who had interest from Europe, China, and MLS, opted to sign with Argentinian powerhouse Boca Juniors.

De Rossi left Roma this summer after spending 18 years with the club and has tinkered long and hard about his next step. The 36-year-old was reportedly close to retirement at one point but ultimately decided that he can still play at a high level and joined Boca.

“He will bring experience and hierarchy,” – said Boca coach Gustavo Alfaro during a press conference. “We want him to provide his hunger to win. He will arrive on Thursday and we will see how he is physically.”

“We are adding a player that has a huge career and we want him to be one more in this group, that he dreams of winning everything with Boca,” Alfaro added.

Daniele De Rossi played 616 games in all competitions for Roma scoring 63 goals in the process and helping the team win two Coppa Italia trophies. De Rossi was also a key member of Italy national team for several years and was part of the team that won the World Cup in 2006.
