Antonio Conte has enjoyed his start to life as Inter Milan manager, as his side annihilated the newly-promoted Lecce 4-0 in front of a packed crowd at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Central midfielder Marcelo Brozovic opened the scoring with a sensational screamer, while Stefano Sensi doubled Inter’s lead before the half time break. Newly-acquired striker Romelu Lukaku enjoyed a successful Serie A debut, as he slotted in the third of Inter’s goals in the 60th minute.

With no signs of an end to their hunger for goals, Inter continued to pressure the away side until the final whistle, as right mid-Antonio Candreva fired home a breathtaking volley in the 84th minute that sent the home fans into a frenzy.

With matches against rivals AC Milan and Lazio coming in September and a guaranteed spot in this season’s Champions League, it was imperative that Inter grabbed the three points in this match in order to alleviate some of the pressure before their calendar gets more chaotic.

The Nerazzurri play host to Udinese on their next matchday, and are expected to grab the three points in what should be a routine win for Antonio Conte’s side.
