Inter Milan and Manchester United have finally finished the job regarding Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez. According to ESPN, the two sides came to an agreement which will see Sanchez joining Inter on a season-long loan.

Inter agreed to pay $10.47 million of Sanchez’s wages, while Man Utd will cover the rest. Also, Seria A giants will pay an undisclosed loan fee in order to land the 30-year-old. The deal reportedly doesn’t contain an option to make the move permanent.

This will be the second time that Inter and Manchester United make business together this summer. Several weeks ago, Inter paid a record fee of close to $90 million to Man Utd in order to bring Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to Italy.

Alexis Sanchez joined Manchester in January 2018 from Arsenal in a move that saw Henrikh Mkhitaryan go in the opposite way. Although he became one of the club’s biggest paid players, Sanchez never managed to justify the money invested in him as he struggled with injuries and inconsistency.

During his 18 months stint with United, Sanchez played 45 games and only scored five goals. For comparison, during his four years with Arsenal, he played 166 games and scored 80 goals.
