It appears that USMNT star striker Folarin Balogun won’t get a chance to prove himself in the Premier League as an Arsenal player. According to multiple reports, Balogun could be on the move this summer, with Seria A side Inter Milan being interested in his services.

Arsenal is stocked in the attacking department, with the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah being considered above Balogun in the pecking order. Because of this, the Premier League side is open to letting Balogun go, although they are asking more than €50 to sanction the transfer.

Balogun spent his entire youth career with Arsenal and made his professional debut in the 2020-21 season. However, he only managed to play 10 games since then, spending time on loans with Middleborough and Ligue 1 club Reims.

During his loan stint with Reims in 2022-23, Balogun emerged as one of the most exciting young strikers in Europe. He finished the campaign with 22 goals, but that still doesn’t seem to be enough for Arsenal to give him meaningful playing time.

Inter, on the other hand, is in the market for a striker to pair with Lautaro Martinez. They believe Balogun would be a perfect fit and are expected to be aggressive in their attempts to sign him.

“I think with me coming back, it’s not really much of a situation where I think I can need to try extra hard to prove something; I think it’s a decision that’s not really with me,” said Balogun about the transfer rumors surrounding him. “Whatever happens, I’m cool with it.”

I am a reality TV junkie. My dream since I was a kid was to be on Big Brother, but until then you can catch me binge-watching episodes each summer.
