Inter Miami are not done with adding big names to their roster. According to multiple reports, the MLS side is plotting a move for Real Madrid’s star midfielder Luka Modric.

Inter has already added several high-profile names from Spanish La Liga to its roster, including Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba. However, the club feels that adding more star power wouldn’t hurt and believes Modric would perfectly fit in their team. Co-owner David Beckham is reportedly particularly keen on seeing Modric in Miami’s jersey.

Modric was close to leaving Real this past summer, receiving lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia. However, the 38-year-old Croatian ended up staying in Spain by agreeing to a new one-year deal.

While Modric will be a free agent at the end of the 2023-24 season, Inter reportedly would like to sign him in January. Real, on the other hand, wouldn’t oppose this scenario as Modric hasn’t been prominently used by manager Carlo Ancelotti lately and only started one game in the domestic league.

Modric has been with Real since 2012 and helped the club win three La Liga titles and five UEFA Champions League trophies. He also received the Ballon d’Or in 2018 after leading Croatia to second place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Besides Modric, Inter Miami is also monitoring several other big names as they look to strengthen their team ahead of the 2024 MLS season. The list includes former Barcelona strike Luis Suarez, who is expected to join as a free agent once he terminates his contract with Brazilian club Gremio.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
