Atlanta Hawks, who are currently tied with Orlando for the worst record in the Eastern Conference, suffered another setback on Sunday. Their shooting guard Kent Bazemore suffered an injury in the second quarter of Hawks’ loss against Chicago Bulls and will miss the remainder of the season. The Hawks revealed on Monday that MRI showed a bone bruise in player’s right knee.

This wasn’t the end for Atlanta Hawks troubles, since backup Jaylen Morris sprained his left ankle in the same game, and will miss up to four weeks. Good news for the Hawks is that their point guard Dennis Schroder, who leads the team in scoring with 19.2 points per game, might return in next couple of days after missing time with a left elbow injury.

After going undrafted in 2012 NBA Draft, Kent Bazemore joined the Golden State Warriors and spent two seasons with the team, mostly playing garbage time. He was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in February 2014 and showed promise before going down with an injury in April. He signed a contract with the Atlanta Hawks in September 2014 and established himself as an important player for the team in four years spent there. In the 2017-18 season, he averaged 12.9 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

Atlanta Hawks currently find themselves on a three-game losing streak, with a 20-47 record.
