England striker Harry Kane scored a hattrick as his side defeated Bulgaria in their latest Euro 2020 qualifying match of Group A. While these goals ensured that the Three Lions maintained their perfect start to qualifying, they also brought Harry Kane’s international goal-scoring record to 25 in just 40 appearances.

His 25th goal for England sees the 26 tear-old overtake Sir Geoff Hurst’s tally of 24. Furthermore, Kane is en route to obtaining the English record for international goals, currently held by Wayne Rooney who scored 53.

Kane remains grounded when it comes to talks of the English all-time record, explaining, “When I score for England, It’s obviously something that people bring up, but I’ve said before it’s still a long way off and there’s a lot that can happen.”

Despite his individual achievements, Kane remains focused on his responsibilities to his team and had the following to say regarding his side’s Euro 2020 campaign, “The main thing is that we keep winning. I’m in a good place with the players I’m playing with, they are going to create chances, they are going to give me opportunities. I’ve just got to make sure I’m ready to put them away “.
