Pro Bowl defensive end Haason Reddick is yet to end his contract holdout and put himself at the disposal of the New York Jets. However, according to his new agents, Drew Rosenhaus and Ryan Matha, it is just a matter of time before this happens.

Reddick joined the Jets in a trade from the Philadelphia Eagles in the offseason but only attended an introductory presser and then refused to report until the team gave him an improved deal. The Jets, on the other hand, were not willing to discuss new terms with Reddick until he joined the team.

The prolonged holdout, which so far cost Reddick around $10 million in fines and game checks, caused the player’s agency, CAA, to withdraw their representation. He ended up hiring Rosenhaus and Matha, who intend to get to work immediately.

“We look forward to working with the Jets to get this resolved as soon as possible,” Rosenhaus told ESPN. “Haason would like to be a New York Jet for years to come, and our goal is to make that happen.”

Reportedly, CAA and the Jets had a framework on a new one-year deal that would see Reddick get a significant pay rise on his 2024 base salary of $14.5 million. However, the player refused to sign it because he wanted a long-term extension.

Getting Reddick back would be great news for the Jets, who struggled to get to the quarterback consistently so far this season. Reddick has 50.5 sacks in the past four seasons and has made back-to-back Pro Bowls in the past two years.
