The New York Giants rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is off to a historic start in his NFL career after another productive performance in a 20-15 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
Nabers finished the Cowboys game with 12 receptions for 115 receiving yards. This gives him 35 catches for 386 yards and three touchdowns for the 2024 season.
With this kind of production, Nabers became the first player in NFL history to have at least 25 receptions and three TDs in the first four games of his career. He previously became the first player to have 20 catches, 250 receiving yards, and three touchdowns in the first three games as a pro. Additionally, only LA Rams Puka Nacua had more catches throughout the first four NFL games with 39.
“He’s a good football player. You’ve all seen it. Still a lot to work on, and I’ve said this numerous times, glad we have him,” said Giants’ head coach Brian Daboll of Nabers.
Unfortunately for Nabers, he had to finish the Cowboys game early following a concussion late in the fourth quarter. According to the Giants, he entered the concussion protocol, but the organization remains optimistic that he won’t need to miss any games.
The Giants play their Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday, giving Nabers 10 days to recover and get cleared to play.
