Seeing New York Giants in the playoffs after 1-7 start to the season would be a miracle, but it isn’t impossible. That’s why Giants’ star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. still keeps the mindset that he will take his team to the postseason.

When asked his goals for the second half of the NFL season, Beckham said the goal is to “win eight games” and get in the playoffs.”

Win eight games,” – Beckham told reporters on Friday. “Get in the playoffs. Giants been there before — 9-7 got to the playoffs — and I think they did pretty good. So that is the goal.

It’s not an easy task, but that is the goal. Win every game and do anything I can to help that.” – he added.

After suffering some surprising and ugly losses in the past weeks, it is hard to see Giants going on such a run in the future. But, they will have a great chance to start in on Monday night, since they are facing injury-plagued San Francisco 49ers. A win there might provide a spark New York needs, and Odell Beckham Jr. might end up laughing last.

You heard Kevin Garnett when he won [an NBA championship]: ‘Anything is possible,'” – Beckham explained. “It’s not impossible to win eight games. It wasn’t impossible to lose seven. So anything can happen. Honestly. But the main focus is just this one game. Treat this game like it’s your last game of the season.

After missing out the better part of 2017 season with an ankle injury, Odell Beckham Jr. returned in grand fashion in 2018. He has 61 catches for 785 yards, and two touchdowns in eight games played this year.
