The Milwaukee Bucks fans probably hope that their superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo will remain with the franchise until the end of his basketball career. But that might not be certain as they think.
During a recent chat with Fox 32 Chicago, Antetokounmpo was asked whether he would like to play for the Chicago Bulls at some point in the future. The 27-year-old superstar first made it clear that he’s committed to his Bucks but then added that he wouldn’t mind coming to the Windy City later in his career.
“I think anybody you ask that question that plays basketball if he said no, he’d be a liar,” Antetokounmpo said. “It’s a team that won multiple championships; it’s a team that one of the greatest players, if not the greatest player to ever play this game, played for. So it’s a no-brainer; everybody would love to play for Chicago.”
“Down the line, you never know. You never know how life brings it, maybe I play for Chicago,” he added.
Even if this happens to be the case, it sure won’t be soon. He still has four years remaining on his contract with Milwaukee, and there is doubt the franchise will add more to his deal as soon as it can. So yes, the Bulls fans can hope, but they also need to know that this scenario is quite far-fetched.
