This weekend it seemed like the Gareth Bale-saga was finally coming to an end with his apparent signing with the Chinese club Jiangsu Suning. But it appears that luck is definitely on Bale’s side this summer considering the fact that there is a possibility that he will stay in Real Madrid.

He was set to join the Chinese club for a record weekly salary of $1.2 million but just before finalizing, the move was blocked by the board of Real Madrid after they reportedly changed the course of the negotiations asking for a transfer fee. Some news outlets report that this request came directly from president Florentino Perez.

This puts Bale in a really difficult situation having to stay in a club that doesn’t like him and work with a manager with whom he has personal issues.

Reportedly, Bale won’t join his teammates in Germany and play in the Audi Cup where the club will be facing Bale’s former club Tottenham. Representatives say this is because he was not in a good state of mind after the cancelation of the move.

Bale joined Real Madrid from the German club Tottenham for a fee of $103.7 million which was a world record at the time.
