The San Francisco 49ers’ Fred Warner recently made an appearance on Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, and hosts Will Compton and Taylor Lewan didn’t hesitate to ask him some hard-hitting questions. But the one in which Warner had to reveal his top five players on the 49ers roster was probably the most challenging for the All-Pro linebacker.

Warner decided to put himself as one of San Francisco’s best players, adding that left tackle Trent Williams, edge Nick Bosa, tight end George Kittle, running back Christian McCaffrey, and wide receiver Deebo Samuel also belong to the list. Then Compton and Lewan decided to up the stakes and asked him to rank the mentioned players from 1 to 5.

Of course, the No. 1 went to Warner slotted himself, but he had a harder time deciding on the rest of the rankings.

“I would for sure put Trent [and] Bosa two and three,” Warner said. “You can sit there and flip-flop them. [But] since we’re talking about Trent being the best player in the league, then we’ll put him at two. Bosa just won Defensive Player of the Year, sorry buddy, you’re three. It is what it is.”

When he came to No. 4 and No. 5, Warner realized he would have to leave someone out.

“I’m going to put Christian and Deebo in four and five, and I’m going to put George in honorable mention,” he reluctantly added.
