It appears that U.S. international back Fabian Johnson is MLS-bound. According to SBI Soccer, Johnson is currently discussing a deal with several Major League Soccer clubs.

Johnson will be able to come to the United States as a free agent, considering that Borussia Monchengladbach recently decided not to extend his deal. The 32-year-old reportedly won’t even ask for a Designated Player deal and will settle for a Targeted Allocation Money salary.

Since Johnson is on the MLS Allocation List, any team that would like to sign him has to give up their allocation spot. Inter Miami and FC Cincinnati currently sit at the top of the list, but it’s unclear whether these teams have an interest in the player.

Fabian Johnson spent his entire career in Germany, where he played with 1860 Munich, VfL Wolfsburg, 1899 Hoffenheim, and Borussia Monchengladbach. He left the biggest mark with Borussia, where he played 140 games and scored 15 goals.

Despite being born in Germany, Johnson chose to represent the United States on the international level since his father was American. He made 57 appearances for USMNT and scored five goals.

I am a reality TV junkie. My dream since I was a kid was to be on Big Brother, but until then you can catch me binge-watching episodes each summer.
