Veteran wideout Percy Harvin is feeling the “itch” to play in the NFL once again. Harvin, who has been out of the league since 2017, admitted to ESPN’s Josina Anderson that he’s ready to return to professional football.

Harvin initially retired during the 2016 offseason but ended up coming back to help Buffalo Bills, who faced multiple injuries on the WR position that year. After the season ended, he decided to walk away from football for good, citing injuries and migraine issues as the main reason.

Now, three years removed from his last game, Harvin feels confident to step on the field once again.

“I thought I was done, but that itch came back,” said Harvin. “My body is feeling good. Mentally I’m better. My family is good. The timing is right.”

Percy Harvin started his NFL career with Minnesota Vikings, who took him in the first round of 2009 NFL Draft. Harvin made an immediate impact, winning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year and making the Pro Bowl cut in his first season as a pro. After three more productive seasons in Minnesota, Harvin was traded to Seattle Seahawks.

While Harvin spent the majority of the 2013 seasons sidelined due to an injury, he returned in time to help the team win a Super Bowl ring. Still, injuries and poor locker room behavior cut his time in Seattle short, and he left the team shortly after, embarking on stints with New York Jets and Bills after.

Harvin’s career stats include 353 receptions for 4,026 yards and 22 touchdowns. He also has 146 rushing yards for five TDs to go with 4,127 yards from kickoff returns.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
