Eden Hazard, the star of Chelsea and Belgium national team, is set to be one of the most sought-after players this summer. After a glowing display at the recent World Cup, where Belgium finished third, Hazard has been linked with a move to Real Madrid with the player himself reportedly looking for a new challenge.

Now Belgium national team manager Roberto Martinez decided to spark those transfer rumors even more. When asked if Hazard would be the right fit for Real, Martinez said that it might be the best time for the 27-year-old to “try something different.”

It could be the best time [for Hazard] to try something different,” – said Martinez in an interview with Cadena Ser. “He is a player who has maturity and a lot of leadership. His play is based on talent. Hazard could carry a new project anywhere in the world. He is at the best moment of his career.

For me, it’s very easy to answer that question.” – he added. “He could fit in any team in the world. Players need new challenges and new projects. Perhaps it’s a good time for [Chelsea] and for Eden [to split]. I would be very surprised if Chelsea didn’t have big offers for him right now.

Eden Hazard was linked with Real Madrid for some time now, but the Spanish giants have reportedly made him their top transfer target after Cristiano Ronaldo left to join Juventus. Hazard definitely looks like he is open to this move since he recently said that playing for Real “everyone’s dream.”

Eden Hazard joined Chelsea in 2011 from French side Lille and established himself as the team’s leader and star player. He won two Premier League titles and UEFA Europa League with Chelsea.
