Real Madrid had a Saturday night to forget, losing to mid-table Alaves by a 1-2 final score at home.

Not only did Los Blancos disappoint with an unexpected loss, but they also had to lament losing Eden Hazard to injury once again after the winger hobbled off of the pitch in the first half.

Hazard left the game in only the 28th minute after he came up lame and was forced to leave the match early. It was yet another disappointing development for the Belgian, who has suffered seven different injuries since signing for Real Madrid last summer.

The winger was taken down by an Alaves defender in the penalty area just before he was forced to leave the game, but no foul was called.

No immediate diagnosis was offered for exactly what type of injury the star had suffered, but it appeared to have been related to his problematic legs which have kept him from getting it going since last summer.

Hazard played only 14 La Liga matches last season for Los Blancos, and his Saturday night appearance was only his third of the season for Real Madrid in the current campaign.

While it remains to be seen when he will return, it’s just another in a series of disappointments for the Chelsea star in the Spanish capital.
