The Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts picked up a sprain in his right throwing shoulder during his team’s 25-20 victory over the Chicago Bears on Sunday, league sources reported. As a result, the quarterback’s availability for Saturday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys is in doubt.

Hurts’ injury occurred during the third quarter of the Bears’ clash when he was driven to the ground by defensive lineman Trevis Gipson. After spending a few moments on the ground, Hurts was able to rise to his feet and continue playing for the remainder of the game.

It wasn’t the first time I’ve been slow [to get up], it won’t be the last,” Hurts explained following his team’s win. “I did play a really physical game, and it was real cold, too. So happy we were able to find a win and in the end find a way.”

While Hurts’ potential absence from the team on Saturday remains a concern, the Eagles find themselves in a prime position to proceed to the playoffs. A win against the Cowboys will see the Eagles become the number-one seed in the NFC.
