The Philadelphia Eagles continued their dominant run this season by thrashing NFC East rivals New York Giants in a 48-22 win on Sunday. The win improved the Eagles to a 12-1 record and made them the first team this season to secure a playoff spot.

When asked about his team’s achievement, the Eagles’ head coach Nick Sirianni said he wasn’t aware of it until he got to the locker room after the game.

“They said that to me in there, and I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s nice,’” Sirianni said. “We’ve got way bigger goals, and it’s on to the next one.”

Philly players also shared the same sentiment, saying that there is still a lot of work left to be done.

We didn’t ‘Yahoo!’ or anything. It was like, ‘That’s cool,’” said right tackle Lane Johnson about the mood in the Eagles’ locker room.

The Eagles still have a lot of work to do before calling it a successful season despite their 12-1 record. They have the Dallas Cowboys (10-3) breathing down their neck for the NFC East title and need to win two out of their next four games to secure it. Also, they will be looking to get the No.1 seed in the NFC in order to have a first-round bye.
