The Golden State Warrior have released an injury update about their power forward Draymond Green. According to the update, Green underwent an MRI on his left knee on Wednesday, with the result coming back negative. Green will travel with the team for a three-game road trip but is doubtful for the Friday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Green suffered a knee injury in Tuesday’s loss to the Houston Rockets. After drawing a foul at the end of the third quarter, Green landed awkwardly and left the game, holding his left knee. “I’ll be good. I’m fine,” – Green told the reporters after the game.

Before Green left the game with an injury, he was close to a triple-double, recording 9 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists. The Warriors were up 11 points entering the fourth quarter, but without Green, they ended up losing the game 122-121.

Besides giving an update about Green’s injury, the team also revealed that Omar Casspi (left ankle sprain) and Andre Iguodala (back strain) are questionable for Pelicans’ game.

He just slipped on the floor,” – Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. “We’ll see if he’s OK. It was a tough break, he’s sprained both ankles in the last week.

Commenting on the loss against the Rockets, Kerr said that his team was not “ready mentally” to play the game.

We were not ready mentally to play that game, even when we weren’t tired,“- Kerr said. “When I say we’re not in great shape, I can’t come in here today and run them because they’re tired from last night. So the physical conditioning will come as we play these games in the next week or two but what we can do is really locked in mentally.

After playing the Pelicans on Friday, the Warriors will face Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, before finishing the road trip on Monday with the game against the Dallas Mavericks.
