According to the latest reports, Miami Dolphins are not done with trading away their best players. After trading away cornerback Minkah Fitzpatrick, tackle Laremy Tunsil, and wide receiver Kenny Stills earlier in the season, Dolphins are now preparing to deal running back Kenyan Drake as well.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Dolphins have engaged in talks with several teams to trade Drake before the trade deadline on October 29. However, Rapoport adds that they will only make a deal if they receive the right compensation.

There are few things that might get in the way of Dolphins’ getting an offer that would please them. Drake isn’t having the best season at the moment, averaging career-low 3.7 yards a carry and totaling 153 yards in the previous five games while adding 19 receptions for 137 yards. Also, the 25-year-old will become a free agent next summer, which brings down his value even more.

There is a belief around the league that the best Miami Dolphins could hope to get for Drake is late-round pick considering all the circumstances. While that isn’t much for a player who was a third-round pick three years ago, it isn’t a secret that Dolphins are stockpiling draft picks and might want to get at least some compensation instead of letting him walk for free next year.

Kenyan Drake has been solid for Miami in the previous three seasons but never managed to firmly grasp the starting RB position. His career stats include 1,511 rushing yards and nine rushing touchdowns. Drake also added 113 receptions for 899 and six TDs.
