Major League Baseball is expanding its international slate of games for next year. And not only that, but it will open the 2024 season with a set of international games.

According to the announcement made on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Dodgers and the San Diego Padres will play pair of games on March 20 and March 21 in Seoul, South Korea. The 2024 will be the ninth season in MLB history to open with games played abroad.

The MLB played two sets of international games in 2023. The San Francisco Giants and the Padres played in Mexico City, Mexico, while Chicago Cubs and St. Louis Cardinals squared off in London, UK. Baseball fans in Mexico and UK will get to enjoy MLB games next year as well.

For the 2024 MLB season, the Houston Astros will play the Colorado Rockies at Mexico City’s Estadio Alfredo Harp Helú in April, while the New York Mets and the Philadelphia Phillies are facing each other at London Stadium in early June.

According to the league’s announcement, Dominican Republic will also get a taste of MLB. The Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Rays will play a set of training games in the country’s capital Santo Domingo in early March.
