The Detroit Lions defeated the Minnesota Vikings 30-24 win on Sunday to win their first NFC North Division title since 1993. The Lions had ended the league’s longest division title drought after the Cleveland Browns, who have not won since 1989.

“It’s cool. It really is cool,” quarterback Jared Goff exclaimed after the Lions ended their three-decade winless streak. “Being able to really reflect on it like we did something that [hadn’t been done by] team after team after team for 30 years. This 2023 team did it and broke that streak and we will guarantee a home playoff game. But, yeah, we’ve got some work to do next week and the following and see where we go.”

Now, the Lions will direct their focus to Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys. Detroit will look to continue its winning ways as they prepare for their first playoff game since 2016. Furthermore, they’ll be looking for their first playoff victory since 1993.
