It looks like Derrick Rose’s recent success has attracted some new suitors. NBA reporter Shams Charania wrote that both the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers are interested in possibly trading for the veteran guard.

Derrick Rose’s career trajectory has been incredibly interesting. When he first came into the league, he was a perennial All-Star on the Chicago Bulls, and even became the youngest player to ever win the highly-coveted Most Valuable Player award.

But after a few injury-riddled seasons, Rose wasn’t able to maintain his success at the same level. Most people thought that his time as a difference-making player in the league was over—but he recently proved everyone wrong.

After a great season with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Rose was able to secure a $15 million contract over two years with the Detroit Pistons, which is very respectable considering most people thought his career was basically over.

Even more impressive is the fact that the Knicks and Clippers are both reportedly seeking his services now. They could both use a former All-Star guard with his talent and experience.

However, Charania also said that both Rose and the Pistons aren’t looking to part from each other. So unless either of the aforementioned teams offer something groundbreaking, don’t expect a trade to happen.
