One thing that the Baltimore Ravens lacked in the Lamar Jackson era was a dependable running game beyond their star quarterback. But with Derrick Henry now in the fold, this doesn’t seem to be an issue anymore.

Henry delivered a monster game for the Ravens in a 10-35 win over the Buffalo Bills, rushing for 199 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries while adding a catching TD.

The highlight of Henry’s performance came in on the first Ravens’ possession of the game. Henry received the ball at Baltimore’s 13-yard line and went for 87 yards to score a touchdown. This marked the longest run in Ravens history.

Henry is now the only player in league history to have the longest run for two different franchises. He previously rushed for 99 yards, tied for NFL record, as a member of the Tennessee Titans.

Henry later caught a pass from Jackson to score another TD in the second quarter.

After signing a two-year, $16 million contract with the Ravens in the offseason, Henry was expected to finally put an end to the Ravens’ struggles at the running back position. Henry had a slow start, failing to top 100 rushing yards in the first two games, before exploding in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys and now running over the Bills.

Henry now leads the league in rushing with 480 yards in the first four games and is tied for first with five touchdowns on the ground.
