Dennis Schroder of the Atalanta Hawks Arrested after A Hookah-Bar Fight

It looks like Atlanta Hawks' promising young guard Dennis Schroder should spend some more time learning how to control his temperament.

It has been reported that Dennis Schroder, point guard for the Atlanta Hawks, has been charged with battery after participating in a fight that took place in one hookah-bar. 11 Alive reports that the Schroder was arrested alongside three other men around 2 a.m. in a restaurant called “6 am”, which is connected to a hookah bar. Although the surveillance video serves as an evidence, its description was available in the police report and you can read it below.

A camera at the entrance of the business captured [the victim], Adu-Poku, Sonko, Jove, Schroeder (sic), [security and witness] bunched together in what appeared to be a verbal heated exchange. [The victim] was shielded from the offenders by [security] and others at the door. Later in the video, you can see Schroeder (sic) initiate physical contact (shove) with [the victim]. Securities attempt to shield [the victim] was unsuccessful. Later in the video, you could see all the offenders attacking [the victim]. [The victim] was struck with hands and feet by the offenders. Security eventually was able to separate all involved parties. Security pushed and shoved the offenders until the scene eventually became safe(r),

After it became known that Dennis Schroder was arrested, Atalanta Hawks released an official statement on Friday.

We are aware of an incident involving Dennis Schröder earlier this morning,” the Hawks said in a statement. “We are still gathering information as it pertains to the situation, and out of respect for the legal process, we will have no further comment at this time.

Dennis Schroder entered the 2013 NBA draft after spending 3 years with the Phantoms Braunschweig and winning Best German Young Player honors. He was drafted by the Atlanta Hawks with the 17th overall pick. He had a steady rise of minutes and production since his rookie season, eventually becoming an important player for the Hawks. In the last season, Schroder averaged 17.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game.
