Deiveson Figueiredo and Brandon Moreno will square off for the UFC flyweight title once again. According to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, the rematch between the two fighters is scheduled for June 12th at UFC 263.

Figueiredo and Moreno previously met in the octagon in December, delivering arguably the best fight in 2020. The contest ended with a draw, allowing Figueiredo to keep the belt but almost certainly setting up a rematch.

As Helwani points out, the location for Figueiredo vs. Moreno II is yet to be determined.

Deiveson Figueiredo took the UFC flyweight champion belt in June when he defeated Joseph Benavidez in the first round. He then handled Alex Perez in his first title defense at UFC 255 before running into Moreno.

Since turning pro in 2012, Figueiredo compiled a 20-1-1 record, with his only loss coming back in early 2019 against Jussier Formiga.

Brandon Moreno, on the other hand, has also been on a hot streak lately. He hasn’t lost since UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Usman in 2018, although he had two draws as well.

Moreno has an 18-5-2 record but was never defeated or knocked out in his career. All of his losses came by a decision.
