The Portland Trailblazers have one really good thing going for them, and his name is Damian Lillard. In a season plagued by injuries, Dame Dolla is the one thing keeping them afloat in a tumultuous Western Conference filled with formidable teams.

In a game against the Golden State Warriors, all eyes were on Dame. The Warriors didn’t want Dame to get a shot off, and were intent on forcing the other Portland players to show what they were made of.

As a result, Golden State got off to a hot lead, with Steph Curry draining the first three three-pointers he took, among many other difficult shots. Eventually, however, the Blazers evened the score out by halftime.

The game stayed pretty close until the last few seconds of the game, when Lillard had the ball with his team down a point. With the legendary Curry guarding him, Lillard knocked down a three-pointer to win the game 108-106 for his team.

But that wasn’t his only highlight of the night. As hard as the Warriors guarded him, Lillard managed to rack up 22 points and five assists as well. Carmelo Anthony chipped in with 22 points of his own.

Curry, on the other hand, led all players with 35 points, to go with seven rebounds and five assists. Unfortunately, this epic showing wasn’t enough to seal the victory for his team.
