Despite being one of the best soccer players in the world, it turns out that Juventus star forward Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t like to watch soccer in his free time. Instead, he turns to boxing or UFC.

Ronaldo revealed his preference during a recent appearance in the Parallel Worlds documentary.

“Playing football is my passion, but I prefer watching other sports on TV,” Ronaldo told former boxing champion Gennady Golovkin. “Between watching a football match or a boxing or UFC fight, I choose boxing or UFC.”

According to Ronaldo, he became interested in boxing and fighting sports earlier in his career while he played for Manchester United.

He believes that boxing practices are useful for soccer, as “you learn to move” while your senses get sharpened as well.

It could be that boxing philosophy helped Cristiano Ronaldo extend his sports career, as he is still one of the most dominant athletes in the world even though he’ll turn 36 in February.

After racking up an impressive 31 goals last season, Ronaldo is scoring at will in 2020-21 as well. He already has 10 goals in only seven Seria A matches, while adding four more in the UEFA Champions League.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
