Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo continues to make his case for being the greatest player of all time.

Ronaldo scored both goals in Juventus’ recent 2-1 win over Lazio, which marked his 50th goals in Seria A. This means that the 35-year-old forward is now the only player in the history of the game to score 50 goals in English Premier League, Spanish La Liga, and Italian Seria A.

He now has 30 goals for the season, enough to equalize himself at the top of Serie A’s leading goalscorers for 2019/20 with Lazio’s Ciro Immobile.

“Records are always important, but what matters is the team,” Ronaldo said after the game. “We are doing phenomenal work, and the important thing is to end like this, to win—the records come from a natural process, but what matters is to bring home the league title.”

Ronaldo scored 65 goals in all competitions since joining Juventus in 2018.  He recently became the first Juventus player since 1959/60 to score 26 goals or more in a single Serie A campaign.

Juve’s win against Lazio was their first in four games and helped the team to increase their lead at the top of Seria A table. They now have eight more than second-placed Inter Milan with four games left to be played.
