A deal between Cristiano Ronaldo and Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr is expected to be imminent, several media outlets reported on Friday. He is expected to earn €200 million per season as a result.

Ronaldo’s proposed deal with Al Nassr is split into two parts. For the first two and a half years, he is expected to be a player for the team, while the second part of the contract is for him to serve as an ambassador to assist Saudi Arabia in promoting its joint bid to secure the rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup along with Egypt and Greece.

Since being released from his contract with Manchester United in November, Ronaldo has been a free agent. While initially believed to be seeking a new club based in Europe that could offer him the chance to play Champions League football, no offers have presented themselves to Ronaldo.

Following an extended period without contract offers, it is believed that a transfer to Al Nassr is becoming more imminent.
