Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has just added another record to his already historic resume. With a hat-trick scored in a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur, the 37-year-old got his career goal tally to 807 and became soccer’s all-time leading goal-scorer.

The top spot on the list was previously held by Austrian-Czech striker Josef Bican, who scored 805 goals in official matches between 1931 and 1955. Brazil legend Pele is often credited with being the most-prolific goal-scorer of all time with 1,279 goals, but his tally includes many unofficial games like youth appearances and friendly and exhibition matches.

Ronaldo struggled with form and injuries in recent matches, having scored just one goal in 2022 before the clash against the Spurs. However, he delivered when United needed him the most to keep their Top 4 finish hopes alive.

Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 12th minute, delivering a stunning flick following a great assist by Brazilian midfielder Fred.

After the Spurs grabbed an equalizer in the 35th minute via Harry Kane’s penalty kick, Ronaldo got the Man Utd in front again after just three minutes. Winger Jadon Sancho made a strong run on the left side and delivered a timely cross that Ronaldo capitalized on to set his goal-scoring record.

United’s captain Harry Maguire gifted the Spurs an equalizer in the 72nd minute through an own goal, but Ronaldo bailed out his team once again with a ruthless header.

This was Ronaldo’s 59th hat-trick of his career, and he has become the third-oldest player to register one in Premier League. He has 18 goals and two assists in 32 matches in all competitions for United this season.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
