The San Francisco 49ers’ dominant start of the 2023 NLF campaign has earned them unexpected praise from the Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones. According to Jones, the 49ers’ are the “most likely” team to win the Super Bowl this season.

Jones shared his opinion ahead of the upcoming Sunday Night Football game between the Cowboys and the undefeated 49ers.

“They are, right now, probably the most likely team to go win the Super Bowl,” Jones said during his regular appearance on 105.3 The Fan radio. “But in order for them to get there, they have to go by us, hopefully two times if that’s the way it falls in the playoffs, and we’re in the playoffs of course.

Many expect that the Cowboys provide the first real test for the 49ers. Despite the way San Francisco played in the first four weeks, the quality of their opponents wasn’t at the highest level.

The 49ers have beaten the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Los Angeles Rams, the Arizona Cardinals, and the New York Giants to open their campaign. These four teams have a combined record of 6-10.

The Cowboys, on the other hand, have looked really well in 2023, aside from the unexpected loss to the rebuilding Cardinals. They have scored a combined 124 points in four games, trailing only the 49ers’ 125 points for most in the NFC.
