The Dallas Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb continued his stretch of impressive performances on Sunday night, catching 11 passes for 173 receiving yards and a touchdown in a blowout 49-17 win over the New York Giants. This was the fourth straight game in which Lamb had at least 117 receiving yards.

Lamb also made a bit of NFL history against the Giants, becoming the first receiver in the Super Bowl era to with at least 10 catches and 150 receiving yards in three consecutive games.

Speaking with reporters after the game, Lamb was asked about his status among the best players at the wide receiver position in the NFL. The 24-year-old player didn’t hesitate in his response.

“I’m the top receiver in this game,” Lamb said. “There’s no question about it. And if there is? I’ll see y’all again next week.”

Lamb’s statement might be outrageous to some, but he has the credentials to at least be in the conversation. He has 68 receptions for 975 yards and four touchdowns while averaging 14.3 yards per catch in the first nine games of the 2023 NFL season. Only Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill and Philadelphia Eagles’ A.J. Brown have more receiving yards, while only Hill has more yards after catch.
