Despite taking two cornerbacks in 2020 NFL Draft, Dallas Cowboys felt their secondary would use some more depth. So the team decided to turn to the free-agent market and sign veteran Daryl Worley.

According to the team’s official announcement, Worley inked a one-year deal. The financial terms remain undisclosed.

Worley, who was Carolina Panthers’ first-round pick in 2016, spent the last season with Oakland Raiders. He finished the year with 58 tackles, eight pass deflections, and one interception while proving to be a dependable cornerback. However, the Raiders decided to move on after addressing the corner position in draft and free agency.

While Daryl Worley will face a tough competition to find a place on Dallas Cowboys’ CB depth chart, his versatility might prove helpful. He’s also able to play as a safety, which is something Cowboys will definitely appreciate.

Besides Worley, Cowboys also have veteran cornerbacks Anthony Brown, Jourdan Lewis, Chidobe Awuzie on their roster. The group is joined by rookies Trevon Diggs, selected 51st overall from Alabama, and Tulsa’s Reggie Robinson, who was Dallas’ fourth-round pick.
