Manchester United manager Ralf Rangnick confirmed that his reported disagreement with striker Anthony Martial has been resolved ahead of the Red Devils’ trip to face Brentford on Wednesday night. Following Man Utd’s 2-2 draw with Aston Villa on Saturday, Rangnick revealed that Martial “did not want” to be a part of the squad traveling to Villa Park.

Following the release of this claim, Martial hit back on social media, stating that he would never refuse to play for Manchester United and he would never want to disappoint the fans.

Rangnick has since provided an update on the situation, revealing: “I had a conversation with him on Sunday, a personal conversation with him about what happened and how I saw the whole situation, the matter is now resolved.”

The 26-year-old striker has reportedly been looking to depart the Premier League club during the January transfer window.

While Martial did not train with the team during Sunday and Monday’s training sessions, he is expected to return to practice on Tuesday and will be available for selection for the Brentford game.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Marcus Rashford are also expected to return to action on Wednesday. The pair were sidelined for the game against Aston Villa due to injury.
