New York Giants wide receiver Cole Beasley has been taken off of his team’s practice squad as per the player’s wishes. Although he still intends to play football, Beasley decided to ask for his release as he does not envision a scenario in which he would make the Giants’ active roster.

Beasley started the season on injured reserve due to harboring a quad injury that he picked up during training camp. While he has since returned to fitness, the Giants have not had a place for him on their squad with the likes of Darius Slayton, Isaiah Hodgins, Wan’Dale Robinson, Parris Campbell, Jalin Hyatt, and Sterling Shepard all filling places on the active roster.

Currently, in his 12th professional season, Beasley has made 556 career catches for 5,744 yards and 34 touchdowns with the Buffalo Bills, the Dallas Cowboys, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Ben loves sports so much but prefers watching other people do it. He prefers not to share what teams he's supporting but he is willing to admit that Lebron James is, in fact, the king.
