Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson is set to miss his team’s opening game of the season due to a hamstring injury, coach Matt LaFleur confirmed. This comes as fellow receiver, Romeo Doubs, is listed as questionable also due to a hamstring setback.
Although new quarterback Jordan Love may be short on suppliers, coach LaFleur insists that his team will manage even if they are short-handed. “Well, we still had a whole week to kind of prepare for this,” La Fleur commented. “So I wouldn’t say that would alter the plan too drastically. I think any time you’re missing one of your better players, certainly throws a little curveball to it. But I mean, that happens all the time. Shoot, Chiefs had to deal with that last night.”
This is not the first time that Watson has faced a hamstring problem. The wide receiver was unavailable for three games last reason as a result of hamstring troubles.
