The Kansas City Chiefs are in the Super Bowl once again. Led by superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs put a dominant display in a 38-24 win over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night and will have a chance to become the first team since the New England Patriots to lift the Vince Lombardy trophy in consecutive seasons.

Things didn’t start well for the Chiefs, as the Bills concluded the first quarter with a 9-0 lead. Tyler Bass scored a 51-yard field goal, while Josh Allen connected with Dawson Knox for a touchdown after Mecole Hardman fumbled the ball at Kansas City’s 3-yard line.

Still, the Chiefs managed to pick up the tempo in the second quarter in true Chiefs fashion. They scored 21 unanswered points and immediately got into the driving seat.

Mahomes threw a TD pass to Hardman to start the run while Darrel Williams and Clyde Edwards-Helaire added one scoring run each.

The second half had much of the same, as the Bills struggled to put points on the board while the Chiefs milked the clock and showed off some creativity in the process.

Kansas City opened the fourth quarter with another Mahomes-Travis Kelce TD to increase their lead to 23 points and put the game out of the Bills’ reach. Buffalo followed up with nine points in garbage time to ease the blow.

The Chiefs are now set to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV. The title game is scheduled for February 7th at the Bucs’ Raymond James Stadium.
