Premier League powerhouse Chelsea is preparing for their first big move under new owner Todd Boehly. According to soccer insider Fabrizio Romano, the London club is looking to acquire Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling this summer.

Romano reports that Chelsea already offered €25 million upfront plus add-ons but was rejected by City. The reigning Premier League champions are valuing Sterling a lot more than that and are looking to get at least €55 million.

Man City is open to selling Sterling because the player only has one year left on his deal and showed little interest in signing an extension. On the other hand, Sterling himself is also in favor of the move as he is unsure whether he would be able to get enough playing time with City moving forward. The 27-year-old also believes he would get a prominent role with Chelsea if the move to Stamford Bridge materializes.

There are also other clubs watching Raheem Sterling’s situation from afar. After missing out on their top target in Kylian Mbappe this summer, La Liga giants Real Madrid are weighing the possibility of making a move for Sterling. Also, Bundesliga powerhouse Bayern Munich is believed to have some interest as well.

Sterling joined Man City in 2015 from Liverpool. Since then, he has made 339 appearances in all competitions and scored 131 goals. He also helped the club win 10 trophies, including four Premier League titles.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
