Manchester City midfielder Raheem Sterling has completed a move to Chelsea, it was confirmed on Wednesday. The 27-year-old player joins the Blues for £47.5 million plus £50 million with add-ons. The sale comes at an opportune time for Manchester City, seeing as Sterling’s contract would have been up next year, at which point he would have left the club as a free agent.

“London is my home and where it all started for me, and it’s amazing I now have the opportunity to play in front of friends and family week in, week out at Stamford Bridge. I’m really looking forward to meeting the fans there soon,” Sterling stated following the announcement of his transfer.

The 27-year-old player played a pivotal role at Pep Guardiola’s Man City, bagging four Premier League titles, four League Cup trophies, and an FA Cup since arriving at the Etihad in 2015. In 339 appearances, Sterling scored 131 goals for Manchester City.

Sterling has also become a pivotal member of the English national squad, scoring three times for his country during the European Championships last year as the Three Lions made their first major cup final appearance since 1966.

Gunner's favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, Iron Man (just the first one), and every James Bond film ever made. He's learning TV and cinema and hoping to always enjoy movies as he does now.
